Physics Program Mission and Goals
The mission of the Kansas Wesleyan University Physics Program is to prepare students for the future as professionals and citizens by helping them develop experimental, analytical, and computational techniques in classical and modern physics; to instill ethical values to enable individuals to responsibly engage in the world in which they live; and to be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Students who complete the Bachelor of Science in Physics will be able to:
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of classical and modern physics.
- Translate physics concepts into mathematical language. Students will be able to apply advanced mathematical techniques, along with computational techniques to solve physics problems.
- Design, perform and interpret an insightful physics experiment.
- Communicate scientific ideas in oral and written formats.
