Richard Esvang has an accomplished 30 year career as a professional artist in the Performing Arts.   A strong of a body of work reflecting a career of intense commitment, originality and risk taking, multi-disciplined professional who has demonstrated excellence as a Director, Designer, Playwright and Actor.  He is also a seasoned visionary; conceiving and building theatre programs, in a variety of sectors.  Highlights of his career include: Great Plains Theatre Festival  Abilene, Kansas Founder & Artistic Director 1994-2006. Produced 85 productions, developed (in partnership with local entrepreneurs) a state-of-the-art performance facility,  Directorial Experience, Produced 4 world premieres, Directed 71 plays and musicals. Acting Experience: Member of Actor’s Equity since 1986appeared in over30 professional productions. Playwright Experience:  Created three original pieces on commission. Two adaptations commissionedAwards: Irene Ryan Award Regional Winner, American College Theatre Festival, New Horizon Performance National Award winner 1983,Carol Otto Award for Distinguished Acting Performance,.
