Return after lapse applicants include those students who were last enrolled at Kansas Wesleyan University at least one full semester ago.
Students returning after an absence of two or more full semesters (excluding summer term) from Kansas Wesleyan University are considered to have departed the institution and must reapply for admission through the Office of Admissions. The academic requirements at the time of re-entry will apply (not those of their earlier catalog). Students may be automatically readmitted if they have satisfactory standing both academically and socially.
Students returning after an absence of only one semester may be readmitted by completing a readmission application in the Registrars Office.
Requirements for Admission:
* Upon approval of the academic department affected and upon petition to the Academic Affairs Committee, a student who has twelve or fewer hours to complete the degree and has not been absent from KWU for more than five years may appeal to complete the degree under the requirements of their original catalog.
KWU has been an influential part of higher education in North Central Kansas for more than a century. Founded in 1886 by the United Methodist Church, KWU welcomes students of all faiths.
KWU's primary goal is providing students with an excellent education in a caring Christian campus community. The university is uncompromising in its dedication to providing an atmosphere where students can mature and learn while taking responsibility for their own actions and lives.
The campus environment helps students prepare for the challenges in their personal and professional lives by living and studying with people from many backgrounds, by learning to relate responsibly to God and to others by achieving goals in a timely manner.
