The next presentation in the Kansas Wesleyan University Ethics
in Public Life Series will look at the role of chaplain in
wartime.
Colonel Kenneth Sampson, installation chaplain at Fort Riley,
will present “Serving God in the
Face
of War: The Chaplain in Wartime” at 7 p.m. Tuesday (April
26) in 227 Peters Science Hall on the Kansas Wesleyan campus.
The presentation is open to the public at no charge and is
sponsored by the Kansas Wesleyan Department of Religion and
Philosophy and the Center for Spirituality and Leadership.
Sampson has served in Afghanistan. As an installation chaplain,
he is responsible for supervision of all chaplains at Fort
Riley, including those who will be and those who currently
are deployed in Afghanistan or Iraq.
