SALINA
– The number of students attending Kansas Wesleyan University
this fall is at an all-time record high, according to 20th
day enrollment figures released today.
“I
am pleased to announce that our headcount for the Fall 2004
semester is at an all-time high of 825,” said Kansas
Wesleyan President Philip P. Kerstetter. “This increase
affirms our belief that increasing numbers of people are recognizing
the quality academic programs and services that Kansas Wesleyan
University provides.”
The Fall
2004 headcount figure is a 2.5 percent increase over the Fall
2003 figure of 805. Increases in both graduate and Adult Professional
Studies enrollment contributed to the overall increase. The
number of returning students remained the same, while the
new student figure was slightly under the Fall 2003 figure.
Additionally,
the Fall 2004 increase marks only the fifth time in university
history that the headcount figure has been above 800 students.
