KWU adds two performances
of Rogers and Hammerstein music

Tickets for the Kansas Wesleyan University
dinner theater performance of “A Grand Night for Singing”
are sold out, but you still can see the show.
According to Dr. Dan Nazworth, chair of
the Department of Communication Studies and theatre Arts,
two additional performances of the show, sans dinner, will
be performed. The additional performances are scheduled for
7:30 p.m. Thursday and Saturday in Sams Chapel on the Kansas
Wesleyan campus. Tickets are $5 for general admission. Members
of the Kansas Wesleyan family will be admitted at no cost.
The special dinner theatre show is scheduled
for Friday at the Salina Country Club, with dinner beginning
at 6:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
Rogers & Hammerstein's “A Grand
Night for Singing” features musical selections from
some of the most beloved musicals, with music by Richard Rogers
and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Musical arrangements are
by Fred Wells. Orchestrations are by Michael Gibson and Jonathan
Tunick. The idea for the show was conceived by Walter Bobbie.
