CONTACT: Leslie Eikleberry, Director of Public Relations, 785-827-5541, ext. 1127
January 6, 2005

"Jagged Ledges: Living with HIV/AIDS” is the topic of the next program in the Ethics in Public Life Series at Kansas Wesleyan University.

The Kansas Wesleyan Exchange program is scheduled for 7 p.m. January 13 in 201 Peters Science Hall, and is open to the public at no charge.

The program will be presented by Kevin Iega Jeff, co-founder and artistic director of the Deeply Rooted Dance ensemble of Chicago. Jeff has more than 15 years experience in artistic direction and choreography. He has received choreographer fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, and merit awards from the National Council of Culture and Art and the International Conference of Blacks in Dance.

The Ethics in Public Life Series presentations are designed to provide programming that will enrich the ongoing learning experience of the Salina community. The “Jagged Ledges” program is presented as part of the Salina area Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, and is made possible by the Salina Arts and Humanities Commission, Kansas Wesleyan University, Deeply Rooted Productions, and The Center for Spirituality and Leadership.

For more information about the “Jagged Ledges” program or the Ethics in Public Life Series, contact Dr. Philip S. Meckley, Department of Religion and Philosophy Chair, at (785) 827-5541 ext. 1415.
