KWU Forensics Team successful
in home meet

The Kansas Wesleyan University
Forensics Team's try at hosting a forensics meet February
4-5 proved successful in a number of ways. The first Coyote
Classic Forensics Meet included competitors from 11 colleges
including Grinnel University, Drury College, Southwestern
College, Hutchinson Community College, Oklahoma Wesleyan University,
Kansas State University, and John Brown University of Arkansas.
The KWU tournament
was unique in that it offered Parli and Legislative Debate
plus a special competition in Storytelling.
All competeing KWU team members
placed in the finals of their events. Following are the KWU
team's results from the tournament:
Rachel Cross
and Rodney Wren tied for first in Legislative
Debate.
Rachel Cross
received first in Extemporaneous Speaking.
Steve Sommerville
received first in Dramatic Interpretation.
Steve Sommerville
and Allie Denning received third in Duo Interpretation.
Rodney Wren
received fourth in Poetry.
Rodney Wren
received fifth in Prose Interpretation.
Eric Arganbright
received fifth in Legislative Debate.
Amanda Ingram
received sixth in After-Dinner Speaking.
