The records just keep coming at Kansas Wesleyan
University! Spring 2005 enrollment is at an all-time high
of 775, according to official 20th day figures released today.
Enrollment for the Fall 2004 semester also was at a record
high.
“This is tremendous news for the University.
Our hard work in recruitment and retention is paying off,
and more people now understand the great value of a Kansas
Wesleyan education,” said President Philip P. Kerstetter.
As a part of its efforts to retain more students,
Kansas Wesleyan has greatly enhanced its student activities
and intramural offerings. Earlier this month, Kerstetter announced
that the University had received a $1.2 million challenge
grant for its proposed 50,000-square-foot Student Activities
Center. Plans for the center will be unveiled during a campus
celebration beginning at 1 p.m. Friday (February 18) in Muir
Gymnasium. The public is welcome to join in the festivities.
The spring figure of 775 is an increase of
30 students over the Spring 2004 headcount figure. Undergraduate,
graduate, and Adult Professional Studies enrollments all recorded
increases to contribute to the total headcount record.
Founded in 1886, Kansas Wesleyan University
