KWU to bring two presidential candidates
to campus for interviews

The Kansas Wesleyan University Board of Trustees Presidential Search Committee today announced the names of two candidates for president of the University.

On-campus interviews with various constituency groups will take place October 27-30.

Following are the candidates for the Kansas Wesleyan presidency.

Dr. Richard Hanson
Hanson currently is president of Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa, a position he has held since 2005. Prior to assuming the presidency of Waldorf College, Hanson served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Augustana College; Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Associate Director of Human Development (North Dakota Extension Service), Department Chair of Child Development and Family Science, and Director of the Family Studies Institute, all of North Dakota State University; Department Chair of Home Economics at California State University, Chico; and interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and interim Dean of the College of University Studies at North Dakota State University. Hanson received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of California, Davis; a Master of Science degree in Child Development and Family Relations from North Dakota State University; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from North Dakota State University.

Dr. Fletcher Lamkin
Lamkin current serves as an Independent Consultant in University Financial Management.  Prior to that he served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Dominican University of California; President of Westminster College; and a professor, a department head, and Dean of the Academic Board at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Additionally, Lamkin served as a career Army officer.  He received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Washington; a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley; a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from Salve Regina College; and a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy. Lamkin also was a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Naval War College.
