University United Methodist Church is located on the northeast corner of Santa Fe and Claflin. They are affiliated with Kansas Wesleyan University and their mission statement is “Serving Christ, Campus and Community." The Reverend Mike Rose is pastor of the church, serving since July 1 of this year and brings with him from Derby, Kansas, his wife, Theresa and his son Ben.

University United Methodist Church has approximately 275 active members. It offers two worship services every Sunday morning; a traditional service beginning at 8:15 a.m. and a contemporary service starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school is also offered for all age groups beginning at 9:20 a.m. and ending at approximately 10:25 a.m.

In addition, University United Methodist Church is pleased to present its Chancel Choir and Spirit Ringers Bell Choir.

Because this church strives to be thoroughly connected with Kansas Wesleyan and its student body, Buck Meal is offered at 6 p.m. every Sunday evening. This is an opportunity for students to fellowship together and enjoy a great meal for only one dollar.

As the year progresses, new things will be happening at this active church. Bible studies and small groups will be established, as well as an exciting new children’s ministry program.
