Smoky Hills Middle School Honor Band

Kansas Wesleyan University Department of Music is excited to announce the 3rd Annual SMOKY HILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL HONOR BAND FESTIVAL, to be held Monday, October 7, 2019. 

with musicians from the First Infantry Division Band at Fort Riley!

Nominations will be due September 1.

Each school submitting nominations will have students selected. Lunch (pizza) is included in the registration fees ($20).

Please fill out the form below to nominate a student. You must fill out one form per student if you are nominating more than one. Please begin your nominations with your highest ranked player, proceeding to your second, third, etc. All nominations are time-stamped and will be ordered according to director’s rank.

Directors may nominate up to 10 students in grades 7-8. In your assessment, please include other middle-level honor ensembles or festival ratings the student has earned. Please include comfortable playing range for brass players. Please speak to percussionists’ abilities in each of the following areas: timpani, battery, auxiliary, and mallets.

6:30pm | Concert with KWU Wind Ensemble (Pioneer Hall - Sams Chapel)
                     Concert is FREE and open to the public.
