If you plan to fly to Kansas to attend Commencement Weekend, Salina Regional Airport now offers service from Denver and Chicago.
The university plans to live-stream video of the Commencement ceremony on the KWU athletics StretchInternet portal. Video of the Nurses' Pinning Ceremony is expected to be available online within a week of the event.
A Class of 2020 photo will be taken at the Graves Family Sports Complex immediately following the commencement ceremony on Saturday, August 15. To better allow families to enjoy the commencement ceremony and ensure the safety of all guests in the arena, a professional photographer will take the photos of all graduates as they process across the stage. All graduates will be able to download their FREE and PROFESSIONAL graduation photos (including the class photo) in the days following graduation. Specific instructions will be made available on the main graduation page as soon as possible.
Each graduate will be given four (4) complimentary guest tickets to the Commencement ceremony. In accordance with recent nationwide practices regarding COVID-19 mitigation, including those in nationally known athletics and other events, tickets will be strictly limited to four per graduate. This will enable social distancing inside the Graves Family Sports Complex.
Guests are to enter the north gate (Claflin Avenue) of the Graves Family Sports Complex. The north gate will open at 7:30 a.m. for the graduates’ family members and friends. Tickets are required, and graduates are required to submit RSVP's by July 31. Guests are also encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Gates will be closed when the maximum occupancy levels have been reached. Out of courtesy for all graduates, guests should not leave until the entire ceremony is completed and all candidates have been recognized.
Accessible seating will be available in Graves Family Sports Complex. These seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited. Ushers will be available to assist guests.
Kansas Wesleyan will make every effort to accommodate parents and guests, however accessible seating is limited and advanced planning is strongly encouraged.
Parking is available within walking distance of the arena. Please do not park in the parking spaces reserved for persons with disabilities unless you have the proper tag.
Commencement programs will be distributed to guests at the arena as they arrive for the ceremony.
