The Eisenhower Scholars Program recognizes students who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to developing personal, intellectual and spiritual growth through a liberal studies curriculum in a faith-based educational environment.
THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS 90% OF TUITION for each of four years of undergraduate study at KWU and is awarded to select incoming first-year students each year. Students will have the opportunity to interview with two members of the KWU faculty, write an essay on a specific topic stemming from pre-assigned reading and participate in a problem-solving/logic activity. Multiple scholarships are available to participating students.
The Eisenhower Scholars Competition at Kansas Wesleyan University is an invitation-only event. Competition Day is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2019.
TO RECEIVE AN INVITATION YOU MUST:
• Be a high school senior
• Apply to KWU by January 6
• Qualify for the Presidential Scholarship
— High school seniors with a KWU composite* greater than or equal to 94
* Calculate your KWU composite by multiplying your cumulative high school GPA by your ACT score. For example, if your GPA is 3.8 and your ACT score is 26, your composite score is 98.8. (GPA is based on a 4.0 scale. KWU converts SAT results to an ACT equivalent.)
