April 6 Update:
Due to recent changes in COVID-19 protocols at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center (TPEC), KWU has increased the number of guests each graduate may invite to ten apiece. RSVP’s are still required (email@example.com).
The number 10 matches the number of guests Nursing pinning recipients are allowed for May 14’s ceremony in Mabee Arena.
The TPEC arena doors will open at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15 and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
In accordance with KWU safety protocols, masks and social distancing will be required. Families and other guests are encouraged to check the KDHE web site (KDHEKS.gov) for the latest news on quarantine travel restrictions that may affect your family’s travel to Salina.
In addition, please know that TPEC has implemented a clear bag policy. Check tonyspizzaeventscenter.com for more information on the types of bags that will be allowed in the facility on May 15.
Class Photo & More
A Class of 2021 photo will be taken immediately following the Commencement Ceremony at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center on May 15. Copies of the photo will be available from the university’s online photo website shortly after Commencement. To better allow families to enjoy the commencement ceremony and ensure the safety of all guests in the arena, a professional photographer will take the photos of all graduates as they cross the stage. All graduates will be able to download their FREE and PROFESSIONAL graduation photos.

Mark your calendar! All spring 2021 Graduates are expected to attend the Grad Finale on April 7. Your cap and gown, any honor cords earned, and other on-campus resources will all be in one convenient place to assist you as you plan for the special day.

April 7 -- Brown Mezzanine, Student Activities Center, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Caps, gowns, hoods (if applicable) and any honor cords earned will be distributed in the Graduation Celebration Boxes at the Graduation Finale, along with information for all graduates about the Spring Commencement. Be sure to bring these in May! A marching order will be distributed at graduation.

If you wish to purchase graduation announcements, you may order them from CB Announcements or another company of your choice. You may also make your own.
If you choose to make your own, official KWU logos are available from the Marketing Communications Office. Contact the MARCOM office at firstname.lastname@example.org.

To participate in the 2021 Commencement ceremony, eligible graduates should complete the graduation application.
Each degree candidate is personally responsible for completing all steps (exams, exit interviews, etc.) as required for graduation from Kansas Wesleyan University. All outstanding debts to the university must be paid in the Business Office prior to graduation. Stop by the Business Office and ask for a "Refund Request Form." Refunds of you general deposit will be made after deduction of any unpaid charges. Please refer to the official university catalog for additional information.
2021 Commencement Speaker:
Ms. Montric D. Santee '12
Montric Santee ’12 was born in Hattiesburg, Miss. She is a 2012 graduate of Kansas Wesleyan, the second in her family to graduate from KWU (sister Khristy ’09) and holds a B.A. in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration.
Montric has spent more than nine years in the financial world, where she currently holds the title of certified financial planner. She is employed at BOK Financial in Dallas, Texas, and is currently working toward becoming a charted financial consultant and retirement management advisor. Previously, she had worked in accounting and wealth management for several years, including time spent at Sunflower Bank in Salina.
In addition to her degree from KWU, Montric holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and International Business from Fort Hays State. She is an active member of both the Financial Planning Association and Toastmasters International.
When she is not busy with her studies, Montric is passionate about making a difference in her community, working with her clients, being around her loved ones, making memories with her sweet nephew Kai, working out and playing basketball with whomever decides to challenge her.
