Kansas Wesleyan University debate and forensics took part in the Jackrabbit Joust and Jackrabbit Alumni debate and forensics tournament, contested Oct. 11–12 in Brookings, S.D.
In open parliamentary debate, the team of sophomore Bryce Boyd (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and senior Cassity Morlan (Kechi, Kan.) advanced to finals and finished in second place. The team of first-year students Madi Mitchell (Mulvane, Kan.) and Abby Wray (Wichita, Kan.) was third. Boyd went on to place fourth in the overall parliamentary speaker standings.
