Kansas Wesleyan University will host the 2018 community-wide ecumenical Prayer Breakfast from 8-9:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 3. The public is invited to join KWU president and CEO Matt Thompson, Ph.D., and Salina-area church leaders as we come together for this special gathering in the Hauptli Student Center, in the Student Activities Center. The annual community event celebrates the National Day of Prayer (Thursday, May 3).
This year's featured speaker will be The Rev. Allen Smith, pastor of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church. Additional blessings will be presented by: Rev. Doug McHenry, Senior Pastor, First Covenant Church; Rev. Keith Phillips, Pastor, First Presbyterian Chruch; Fr. Luke Thielen, Associate Pastor, St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church; Captain Lynn Lopez, Salvation Army, and Scott Jagodzinske, KWU Campus Minister. The breakfast will feature uplifting music by the Wesleyan Choir, inspiring messages, prayer, reflection and a hot breakfast.
The cost is $10 per person; advanced registration only. We are unable to accept walk-in registrations. The deadline to reserve your seat is April 26.
