Leadership Salina Graduates can Earn M.B.A. Credit

The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that it is now taking applications for the 2017 class of Leadership Salina. For the first time, Leadership Salina graduates will receive course credit towards Kansas Wesleyan University's M.B.A. program.

New Online Nursing Program Launched

The need for nurses continues to grow, and standards are shifting toward those who hold a bachelor’s degree. The shortage is especially dire in rural communities. To help meet this need, Kansas Wesleyan University will now offer a fully online R.N. to B.S. with a major in Nursing program. The program allows nurses who already hold an unencumbered Registered Nursing license to leverage their experience to complete a Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing in an accelerated study. It is designed to prepare students for professional advancement.

Director of Nursing Education to Speak at Alumni Lunch

The Salina Chapter of the Kansas Wesleyan University Alumni Association will host its quarterly luncheon on Brown Mezzanine in the KWU Student Activities Center, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 13. Guest speaker will be Janeane Houchin, director of nursing education, chair of the division of nursing education and health sciences and Salina Regional Health Center endowed chair of nursing education.

KWU Marks Student Achievement for 2016-17 Academic Year

Kansas Wesleyan University recognized the success of students during the 2016-17 academic year at the Honors and Recognition Dinner on Friday, May 5, in Muir Gymnasium. Below is a list of achievements and those recognized.

KWU Celebrated 197 Graduates During Commencement

Friends and family of Kansas Wesleyan's Class of 2017 gathered on a beautiful day to witness the graduation of 197 students. KWU had its 128th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 6, in Mabee Arena. 

The day started with a Baccalaureate Service at University United Methodist Church. The Class of 2017 gathered on the steps of Pioneer Hall for a class photo at noon. The academic procession started at Pioneer Hall before the ceremony. The graduates included 157 undergraduates and 40 who earned Master of Business Administration degrees.
