One of Salina’s own will open a special exhibit showcasing his photography Monday, Nov. 4 at The Gallery at Kansas Wesleyan University. George Jerkovich will display a series of his photographs in an exhibit, “Near Burma Road – Saline County, Kansas,” that runs from Nov. 4–Dec. 13. Admission to the exhibit is free.

Nearly all of the photos that will be displayed were taken in the vicinity of Burma Road, located just outside of Salina. The pictures were taken over the span of several years and show different scenic landscapes in this particular region of Saline County.

Jerkovich is a long-time resident of Salina, having lived in the town for over 30 years. A closing reception will be held in the gallery Thursday, Dec. 5 from 5 p.m.–6:30 p.m., with remarks from Jerkovich coming at 5:30 p.m.
