Fall 2025 Orientation

Day 1 – Friday, Aug. 15

8 a.m. – Noon: Check-In (Mabee Arena and Muir Gym)

8 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Yard Games and Activities (Bevan Green and SAC Patio)

1:00 – 3:30 p.m.: Settle in to your new home

3 p.m.: Parent Meeting (PSH 201)

4:15 p.m.: Convocation and Class photo (Mabee)

5 p.m.: Dinner: Tailgate and Yard Games (SAC and Bevan Green)

6 – 10 p.m.: Back to School Bash (Downtown Salina)

Day 2 – Saturday, Aug. 16

7:15 a.m. – Rise and Shine with the Y (SAC Patio)

9:30 a.m. – Campus Serve (by orientation group)

Noon – SGA/CAB/Student Clubs Cookout and activities fair (SAC Parking Lot)

2 p.m. – Bystander Training and Campus Safety (Mabee)

3 p.m. – Residence Hall Orientation (Mabee)

5 – 7 p.m. – Dinner in Bieber Dining Hall

7 – 10 p.m. – Late night at the Y (Pros Vs Joes) (YMCA)

Day 3 – Sunday, Aug. 17 (Returning Student move in from 11 am-5 pm)

9:30 a.m. – Campus Ministries Devotional (Sams)

10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.: All Pack Brunch (Bieber Dining Hall)

1:30 p.m. – Campus Involvement Orientation

  • Athletics by Team
  • Fine Arts

3 p.m. – Get to know KWU

  • RAs and Peer Mentors lead activities for Orientation groups
    • Find Your Class
    • Get to know Salina

4 p.m. – Academic Orientation (WE Classroom)

5:30 p.m. – Tailgate (Presidents Pavillion) (Game Atmosphere Orientation)

7 p.m. – Staff/Faculty vs Student Kickball game (Stadium)

Day 4 – Monday August 18

7:30 a.m. – Where’s my Class? (Cash Cab)

7:30 a.m. – Admin Offices open

3 p.m. – Faculty Scavenger Hunt (Instagram Challenge)

Day 5 – Tuesday August 19

8 a.m. – YOGOWYPI (FTF and Transfer) (Mabee Arena)

10:15 a.m. – YOGOWYPI Debrief (WE Classrooms)
