Saturday’s football game will be the team’s annual “Pink Out” event, as the fourth-ranked Coyotes face archrival Bethany College at the Graves Family Sports Complex. Opening kickoff in the latest chapter of this year’s First Bank Kansas Smoky Hill Showdown is set for 2 p.m.

Not only will the Coyotes be returning home victorious following last weekend’s dominating win at Friends, but the team will be wearing pink accents along with its standard home uniforms, in support of breast cancer awareness. Various items will also be for sale on the concourse, including KWU Coyote for a Cure t-shirts selling for $5 apiece.

All money raised will go to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, which creates a strong tie-in with the annual Fe for a Cure walk/run. That event takes place earlier Saturday morning — both starting and ending at KWU — and benefits patients at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center as well.
