Kansas Wesleyan University students Lindsey Rojas, Ellsworth, KS, and Alissa Kim, Salina, KS, won first place in their session for their oral presentation, “Parental Gender Differences on Attitudes Toward Corporal Punishment” at the annual Great Plains Students’ Psychology Convention on March 10 in Hays. Rojas ’17 is majoring in Psychological Services-Educational Counseling. Kim ’18 is majoring in Psychology. Both students study under Dr. Steve Hoekstra, professor of psychology.

The convention provides a forum for psychology students to exchange ideas, discuss relevant topics and gain experience presenting papers.
