Salina Purple Friday relaunches August 30! Friday is the 15th annual national College Colors Day, an event designed to encourage college supporters throughout the country to wear the colors of the school they support. Make sure to wear purple! The Salina community has rallied around the concept, with both Kansas Wesleyan and Kansas State Polytechnic sporting the color purple, to create Salina Purple Friday. Every Friday, anyone wearing purple and visiting participating area business can receive discounts on their purchases. Participating businesses include Chick-Fil-A, Carlos O’Kelly’s, Great Clips and Mokas, among many others!
