The Biomedical Chemistry degree is designed to help students further their education in pursuit of a career as a medical doctor (MD) or chiropractor. A broad overview of the chemical and biological subject areas are presented to students as a means of preparing each of them to be a more well-rounded candidate for entry into graduate programs. This degree is also useful for those students wishing to pursue employment in the chemical, biochemical and medical laboratory analysis fields.

Why Major in Biomedical Chemistry?

A Biomedical Chemistry major combines the principles of chemistry and biology to explore the molecular foundations of health and disease. Students develop strong laboratory, analytical, and research skills while studying chemical processes within living systems.

This degree is ideal for students pursuing careers in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, biomedical research, and other healthcare professions. Graduates are well-prepared for professional and graduate education.
