This page is designed to accumulate and share the latest updates from KWU regarding the Department of Education’s delays in disseminating FAFSA-related information.

April 15, 2024 Update

The update options are now available on the 2024-25 FAFSA. If you need to sign or provide consent on the FAFSA or add KWU (school code 001929) to the FAFSA, the correction feature is available for you to do so. Please be sure to follow all steps and submit, especially adding KWU’s school code, so that we receive your FAFSA data.
We will begin sending award offers in the coming weeks, as well as updates on how to access your 2024-25 financial aid information with instructions for your next steps.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.

March 28, 2024 Update

We have started receiving 2024-2025 FAFSA information!

Based on information available from the US Department of Education, all FAFSA data from submitted FAFSA’s to date will be sent to KWU and other schools across the country by the first week of April.

If your FAFSA is in a status that requires updates such as parent signatures or you want to add a school code like Kansas Wesleyan University (001929) to your FAFSA, you will be able to do so in the first half of April.

Instructions on how to log into your 2024-2025 financial aid information, next steps and FAFSA correction needs, as well as communication about who we believe still needs to complete a 2024-2025 FAFSA will be sent the second week of April. Please watch your KWU email for updates!

If you do still plan to submit a 2024-2025 FAFSA, please use the Easter Break to do so at this link: FAFSA link.

If you are not planning to complete a FAFSA, please complete a FAFSA waiver and submit that to the K-Dub Hub so that we can get an award offer to you.

We look forward to getting information to you soon!

Feb. 2, 2024 Email Update (sent to incoming students Feb. 2 and current students Feb. 13)

As you might know, recent, significant changes to the FAFSA are currently causing the delay of accurate, detailed, financial aid information for students attending college for the 2024-25 academic year. To help you and your family better understand the current situation, we want to provide you with some helpful information.

First and foremost, we currently expect financial information from the FAFSA form to be released to us in March. Once this information is received by our Financial Aid Office, we will work as quickly as possible to create your financial award package, containing not only your awards from KWU but also the state and federal aid indicated by your FAFSA application.

Second, you might receive estimates from other institutions projecting your financial aid. Please know that these documents are just that — estimates. They may prove to be inaccurate when your real FAFSA data becomes available, so we would like to caution you on making any final decisions until all official aid is finalized.

Finally, we know that you might have questions about the FAFSA and your financial aid here at KWU. If you, or your parents, need any clarification, we’re happy to help! You can call our office at 785-833-4315 or 785-833-4316. We will continue to share information with you as we know more.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue this process together!
